I was hospitalized...

(same post on all four blogs)

I'm sorry to say that I've been in the hospital. However, I'm better and will hopefully be home by tomorrow night. I will soon write my experience and publish it, so I won't go into detail. The important thing is that I'm better and feel hopeful that my relative recovery is within the horizon.

I have missed reading my favorite blogs and writing my little ditties. My next memoir post is almost ready, just finishing some editing. I may have to split it into two posts. It's eleven pages long!! My doctor was impressed and recommended that I write a book. Fancy that!

I also have plans to edit more Vegas photos and publish for your pleasure! I also plan to write more on the self image series, which includes pictures of me in some of my favorite clothes. Though I'm not sure if I can swing taking self portraits. It's quiet a frightening idea!

I hope everyone else is doing well and I look forward to catching up on my blog reading.

Have a lovely day!

How do you remember Michael Jackson?

Today a masterful entertainer, Michael Jackson, has died from an apparent heart attack. He brought so much joy through his music and videos, for a period of 45 years. Not everyone liked him, but most agree that he has affected the international community with his songs. From his childhood days and his break out as a solo artist, he mesmerized the world with his charm.

It always affected me, the irony of his success in the spotlight and the appearance of desperation in his private life. It was the first time that I realized that fame and success aren't always what we hope them to be.

In Michael Jackson
's case, we could see a clue to his private life, within the changes of his facial structure, the lawsuits, and his relationship problems. He seemed like such a nice guy, though possibly enduring lots of problems.

In any case, Michael Jackson
was an amazing entertainer, singer, songwriter, dancer, and artist. His work is like a gift to the world that we can never repay. He gave us so much joy, but we could only listen and watch his magic. He was has been an icon for 45 of his 50 years. How many people can claim that?

Michael Jackson's Thriller video was the first music video I had ever seen. It scared and fascinated me. I was only 11 years old. Over the years, I admired his tenacity and his talent, though I didn't agree with his life choices.

Michael Jackson
was not a perfect man, but he was talented, tenacious, charming, and intelligent. He certainly deserved the accolades he received and perhaps deserved more for his kindnesses. Perhaps he has been misunderstood and blamed for things that he didn't commit. I don't know. But now I just want to remember the good things. He chose entertainment as his career and I believe he mastered it and succeeded way beyond most.

For myself, I'll just remember him as a consummate entertainer and artist.

How do you remember him?

I'm back from Las Vegas!

Hello everyone!! I made it back. I had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you.

Unfortunately, I'm still recovering from my vacation. hehehe... Maybe I pushed myself a little, but it's well worth it. I wouldn't take it back. So I've been sleeping round the clock, except getting up to eat a little. It sounds like I'm exaggerating, but really, I'm not. sigh...

Can you believe this extravagance? Those are real crystals! I was like a little kid, staring at the chandeliers, in complete awe. The walls are covered with decorative gold leaf, reminiscent of a palace. The floor is marble. Yes, real marble.

Just a little part of me felt sad. All this extravagance built on the poor people who come here hoping to win a fortune. Does anyone else think about that? Hypocritically, I'm here to enjoy it. Sigh...

Aren't they glorious? I've never seen so many in a row. My sister says that I'm just attracted to anything that sparkles, like a moth to a flame. Hmm... That's not always safe...giggle... Did you notice some of the detail on the walls?

This is the bar right next to the casino. It's probably the most dangerous thing to do; drink and gamble. Alcohol loosens your inhibition, clouds your mind, and you lose more money. Would most people go buy a house, doused with alcohol? Of course, this is a very smart idea for the casino.

By the time I took these photos, I was really tired and my hands were shaking non-stop. I tried to use the tripod, but I didn't quite get it right. Usually, I take a hundred pictures to compensate, but I was too tired to do that. Thus, the not so clear pictures, even after Photoshop! Hopefully, you still get a sense of walking into the hotel.

I really didn't spend anytime around here. Usually, I was half running to the elevators. People can smoke here and I'm allergic. Just the few pictures I took made my eyes and nose itchy, watery, and I started to sneeze. Maybe that's why I didn't stay to take more pictures! hehehe....!

Amazingly, large parts of the hotel is non-smoking, which was a pleasant surprise. I was ready to take Claritin everyday, but I didn't have to. Apparently, Nevada law has changed with the times too. Hmm...

Anyway, there's more to come!! The most amazing show I have ever seen, more beautiful scenery, water that explodes, Venice, and desserts to die for...yes to die for! Did I mention the amazing food! So check back for more. Your mini Las Vegas guide is coming!!

Have a marvelous day!
